Poultry bones play a particularly important role in promoting the health of our companion animals; being derived from young healthy birds, they are relatively soft, they contain a high proportion of bone marrow (for blood forming nutrients and essential fatty acids), they are a balanced and biologically appropriate source of the bone forming minerals calcium and phosphorous and are an excellent source of cartilage (which has fantastic anti-inflammatory properties).

Dr. B’s Turkey Recipe BARF has enormous health enhancing properties. Firstly, the high level of essential amino acids (the building blocks of proteins) in turkey & chicken meat build strong muscles and healthy cells. Secondly, the high levels of the health enhancing and bodily repairing sulphur containing amino acids in turkey & chicken meat. Thirdly, the very high level of healthy fatty acids found in poultry fat, including both polyunsaturated  and monounsaturated fatty acids, together with exceptionally high levels of Palmitoleic fatty acid. Palmitoleic fatty acid has the extraordinary property of being antimicrobial and is one of the many reasons that the cats eating Dr. B’s BARF patties maintain such magnificent health.

Dr. B’s Turkey Recipe BARF for Cats is very suitable for all life stages and being based on a white meat (which is anti-inflammatory), is very suitable wherever a cat is faced with some sort of inflammatory condition.

There are only two general circumstances that should prevent you from feeding Dr. B’s Turkey BARF to your cat; firstly where your cat has any sort of allergy to poultry – turkey or chicken - and secondly where a cat requires a special low fat diet (e.g for conditions such as chronic pancreatitis).

Turkey meat, offal and bone, derived from turkey necks, wings and frames; chicken meat, offal and bone, derived from finely ground chicken frames; finely ground beef liver, yoghurt, whole raw eggs, finely ground and crushed raw carrot, finely ground pork heart, finely ground and crushed raw apples, dried kelp powder, finely ground salmon frames.
