Kangaroo is a ‘wild’ meat, which is truly free range, and in no way farmed, ensuring it does not contain any antibiotics or added hormones. Kangaroo meat is a rich source of B complex vitamins, which are essential for energy utilisation and overall vitality. It is also an excellent source of iron and zinc, and of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which has been suggested to help fat metabolism in humans to aid in the prevention or treatment of obesity. Along with this, kangaroo meat is very high in protein (with an excellent amino acid balance for muscle building and/or repair) and low in fat, which makes it a great choice as a low calorie option for animals which need to lose weight, or have a low activity level.
