Alfalfa (Lucerne)

Alfalfa is grown on fertile alluvial flood plains and has a root system reaching more than 40 feet into the mineral rich sub-soil, making it a potent land source of trace minerals and major minerals such as calcium, iron, copper, manganese and magnesium. With the enzymes intact in raw form, this is rich in a broad range of phytonutrients (many of which are anti-oxidants) as well as vitamins within the B complex, C and especially K, all of which help the body digest and utilize the nutrients in food.
